[WotLK] Fishing Guide 1 - 450

Fishing is a secondary profession which allows players to fish various objects, primarily fish, from surfaces of water. Most raw fish are edible directly or can be cooked to improve their properties. Raising Fishing and Cooking skills together is a good synergy. Fish have value and can be vended (for a pittance, at low levels, or more valuable with rare fishes at mid and high level) or sold in the Auction House. [Deviate fish] caught both within Wailing Caverns and from the oases in The Barrens can fetch a good price, for example. A few fish are used as reagents for Alchemy, these will have a steady demand. Occasionally, fishing may also yield lower-level equipment, fish-related offhand items, locked chests, gems and herbs. However, the Fishing profession is often neglected, as it provides little opportunity to improve a character's stats.This Fishing guide will show you the fastest and easiest way how to level Fishing from 1 to 450. You'll discover that it requires a lot of patience and time to build your skill level up to the maximum level. You will have to catch thousand fishes to get from start to finish. Well, so let's go and pickup Fishing by visiting any Fishing Trainer. There're many of them around Azeroth, but it'll be easier if you find them in one of your major city by just asking guard if you got stuck. Check out the list of Fishing Trainer. There is water in most zones of Azeroth but each zone had a minimum skill requirement to be able to fish in that zone, and a cap where you achieved a 100% catch rate in that zone. In between there was a chance your fish could "get away"; you would catch nothing and receive no skill-up for that cast. 

How to Fish

To begin leveling your Fishing, you'll need a [Fishing Pole], at higher level of Fishing or when your level is enough, you can get other Fishing Poles. A few quests are available that have improved fishing poles as a reward, such as [Seth's Graphite Fishing Pole], which is a reward from Rather Be Fishin'. Check out this list of Fishing Poles. So, let's fishing. Equip your Fishing Pole and go to the nearest water, find the fishing skill icon in your spell book. Stand in front of the lake/river and press the fishing button. Mouse over the lure in the water, and when it splashes, right click on it. Repeat this several hundred times.  And do not forget to visit your fishing trainer when you reach skill level 75, 150, 225 and 375. That's it. You can fish anywhere, even in zones where your fishing skill is too low. You will mostly catch junk, but your fishing skill will increase if you catch something, it does not matter if it's a fish or some junk. But I don't recommend this method because the rate of successful cast is low and it's not worth spending your time.And gz to 450, I hope you like this guide and have fun!
